Green Toadstool

Green Toadstool Leather Coral

The Green Toadstool Leather Coral (Sarcophyton sp.) is one of the most iconic and beloved soft corals in the reef hobby. With its distinctive mushroom-like cap covered in flowing polyps, the Green Toadstool adds graceful, swaying movement and lush color to any aquarium. Under quality reef lighting, its cap glows with rich green tones that shift beautifully from lime to emerald depending on the spectrum.

Toadstool leathers are a cornerstone of the softie reef — they grow quickly, are incredibly forgiving, and create a natural, ocean-like aesthetic that's hard to replicate with any other coral. They periodically shed a waxy film as part of their natural cycle, which is completely normal and a sign of a healthy, thriving specimen.

Care Requirements

• Lighting: Low to moderate (50–150 PAR)
• Flow: Moderate — enough to keep the cap clean and polyps extended
• Placement: Mid to upper rockwork with room to expand
• Feeding: Photosynthetic; does not require supplemental feeding
• Difficulty: Beginner — one of the hardiest soft corals available

You will receive a frag approximately 1.5" wide. Photo shown is of the parent colony.
